SBRC Chili Challenge and Tennis

A little culinary challenge to accompany your volleys.  Participants are encouraged to whip up a batch of their BEST CHILI to be judged by all!  Round Robin play will take place while you sample each of the chili entries.  Awards for 1st , 2nd and 3rd Best Chili will be presented.

Valentine's Day Mixer / Rally for the Cure

If you ever needed a good reason to get out and play some tennis, look no further. South Beach is once again partnering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the battle against Breast Cancer.  Proceeds and donations made during this round robin will be donated directly to the "Rally for the Cure" foundation.  We ask that each player bring a snack to share. Beverages will be provided.

SBRC Doubles Championships

Grab your partner and get signed up for your chance to have your name placed among the "greats" of South Beach.  USTA Level - single elimination tournaments will be played.  The Finals of all events will take place on Sunday.

Daylight Savings Mixer and Demo Night

Come welcome the return of Spring with an evening of tennis and fun.  During the round robin, the latest racquets from Babolat and Prince will be available to demo. Michael will answer questions that you may have about the new frames and strings.

Come enjoy the Spring with your fellow members at our monthly mixer.  Take a needed break from the USTA season with some friendly tennis, as we begin to say goodbye to our "Northern" members.

The 26th Annual "BillyBOB" Century Cup Doubles Tournament

Our signature event returns!  This three-day event brings in some of the best players from Hilton Head, Bluffton and many other States.  Last year nearly 200 people competed in several categories.  Come join the fun the year and be part of a Lowcountry tradition.
 

Entry blanks are available now through April 25th.

USTA Senior State Championships

The culmination of the Senior USTA season, the State Championships showcase the best Senior teams from around the Palmetto State.  Come out and cheer on your fellow Hilton Head Islanders as they compete for the State title.

SBRC Singles Championships

Our "Champions" wall also holds the names of our Singles champs as well. Compete against your fellow members in Singles and see if you have what it takes to put your name on both the Singles and Doubles "Wall of Fame." Single-elimination tournament style play.

USTA Mixed Leagues begin

Both the Mixed and Combo leagues have become increasingly popular over the past several years.  New teams form each season.  These are great leagues to meet good players that you may not have played with during the Spring season.

Ladies' INTERCLUB First Match

The Best League on the Island!  As a SBRC Member, you are registered on the team automatically. Matches are on Thursday afternoons.  Level Coordinators will be in touch with you regarding availability.  If you do not know your level, please get in touch with Michael.

3rd Annual Mixed Margarita Open

One of the best times you can have on a tennis court!  Round Robin play in the morning qualifies you for the afternoon finals.  A Mexican-themed lunch will be served between the playing sessions.  Win the coveted "Margarita" Trophy.

Men's INTERCLUB Begins

Both the men's 3.5 and 4.0 Interclub seasons begin.  As a Member of South Beach, you are registered for the team.  Scott Bernsten (4.0) and Bryce Elkins (3.5) head our teams.  They will get in touch with you as the season approaches.  This is a great way to get out and meet the rest of the club and secure a place on a USTA team for the upcoming season.

Member Mixer at Wexford Plantation

A Friday afternoon spent making new friends.  Join several of your fellow members as we travel to Wexford to participate in a friendly interclub mixer.  Food and Spirits will be provided. All you have to do is bring your game!

The "Gobbler" Round Robin

Our Thanksgiving-themed mixer is always one of the best attended events of the year.  Family of SBRC Members are welcome to participate in this holiday special.  Each player is asked to bring a Thanksgiving-inspired dish to share.
